Respect
I try to respect most people, although I actually do believe it is something that is earned. I do not go out of my way to disrespect them I guess is more accurate. But then there are those few people you meet in life or in this case game that truelly earn your respect for one reason or another. One person in particular helped me quite a bit when I first started playing EQ2 and well he still is always there when I need him. Extremely unselfish by nature. I have nothing but respect for him as a player although I have no relation to him outside the game.
More recently however I have begun playing with another member in our guild that I have also come to very much respect. And I guess I really first realized it last night while playing. I usually first ask if anybody would like or needs help with anything. Just something I enjoy doing, and something that was done for me which really helped a lot. Anyhow that is a whole different issue. When I asked last night, this guy perked up. It is very rare he asks for my help, as he is usually out helping others as well unless we are together in our usual group doing our thing. He said he needed help with MOA trials, so off I went. On the way however it occured to me... he has finished that quest chain... ?? What is going on with that? So I asked him, his response was.. "I have but you haven't." He got a whole group together and low and behold all I have left to do is raid and I got my MOA done. He got absolutely nothing out of it, as usual, just the joy of helping someone. Now that is someone to respect :)
There are others of course, and they know who they are, at least I hope they do!!!
