LOST
I am feeling completely lost today. I wake up each morning, grab my cup of coffee and call my sister Vicki. Usually put a load of laundry going and set some dishes to soak in the sink. When we hang up I call Nikki. While we talk I feed the animals. This is how I get my day going. It's a routine. It works.... well it aint working today. Vicki is doing some stuff for her old boss this morning. So she aint home. I talked to her kids for a bit, that always helps, they tend to make me laugh. But still wasn't her. Then I called Nikki, and guess who is not home either? ARG Just can't seem to get going... I am thrown completely off my schedule and so not liking it today. So here I sit complaining to whoever else has nothing to do so is reading this and saying omg shut up and get over it. Sigh. Well laundry still needs done, dishes are sitting and staring at me, at least the pets are fed. So I guess I will shut up, turn up the music, and get my butt in gear.
Ranger

Ranger is our newest addition to the family. We got him this past Tuesday while down at the pet store getting bird food. I honestly never in my life thought I would own this breed of dog. But there he was, jut laying there. Wouldn't move for nothing. He was soo lost and depressed just melted my heart. He is nine month old dashund. The lady that owned him got him as a lil puppy. She had him a few weeks and decided she didn't want a dog after all. But she did want the money she paid for him. So she has been trying to sell him since he was 14 weeks old. But at the price she was asking, obviously, there were no takers. So she finally took him down to the local pet store and told them to find him a home. She just wanted him gone, tired of dealing with him. And that is where I found him. So sad, I just don't understand how people can treat an animal like an object. They are not material items you can take in and discard at a whim. So now he is finding his place in our family... where I hope he comes to enjoy his life. I do have to say, as soon as he saw the other dogs he sure perked right up. He loves to play with them, cuddle with us. And has potty trained in just three days. Just waiting for his appetite to catch up, as he only eats about three bites a day at this point.
Charlie Bear

Here is Charlie Bear.... His story is told along with Tigger's, as they were found together. Now with him, we went to the rescue to get a friend, singular, for Cocoa and our son. But both Sandy and ourselves couldn't seperate these two. They had come through so much together already in their short lives, just was not right to seperate them now. So Charlie came home with us as well. Probably one of the best decisions we have ever made. This lil boy just finds his way into everyone's heart he comes near. He is the most mellow, cuddly, and sweetest cat I think I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He gets soo relaxed on my bed sometimes he literally slides right off the edge. As soon as he hits the floor he starts purring and rubs along the edge of the bed, as if apologizing to it. The other animals, the children in my daycare, my kids, my friends, anyone he sees pretty much is his buddy. Just not enough words for me to express the personality of this lil boy. I am just thankful for having him around.
Tigger

Here is our Tigger girl.... she is now about 5 months old we are guessing. We went to a rescue group to adopt a kitten to help tame Cocoa and give her a friend. This is how we came to find Tigger and actually Charlie Bear as well. They were found in a building that was scheduled to be bulldozed that day. Over twenty other cats were captured there the week before and it was believed they had caught them all. But then these two were found, they were very sick and malnourished by this time. Nobody even knew if they would survive. But Sandy (a foster mom for the rescue) fed them by eye dropper until they were strong enough to eat on their own. My son just lost his cat... so when we went up to the rescue it was up to him which one we came home with. And well Tigger just stole his heart. She is very playful and energetic, not much of a cuddler. But when he bent to pet her she jumped onto him and didn't move til we left. So we knew it was a match. She is still very playful, and well waaay too curious. Tends to get herself locked into things she shouldn't be in, quite often. Such a beautiful addition to our lives.

This is Cocoa. We are guessing she is about 3 months old now, we have had her since the second week of June. Her story is not very clear... she was completely wild when we got her. My friend came home one day to find her male cat and her dog playing with something in the bushes... when she went to investigate she found a lil kitten laying there. So she caught her and brought her over to me. She ended up with three more her cat brought home. They think they came from the barn next door, the people moved out a few months ago and left their cats behind. Anyhow we took in Cocoa, who has become the sweetest most cuddly lil gal. She has extra toes on both her front paws.... the pictures arent too clear at showing em. She has no use of any nails on her front paws.

Okay I added photos from our trip to Southern California to the flickr badge. Just click on it to see them as a slide show. I will add more photos of the animals, and one of Ranger soon but first I need to put new batteries in the camera.
